Croydon & Sutton Constituencies

London Borough of Sutton
Sutton is divided into two parliamentary constituencies, Sutton and Cheam and Carshalton and Wallington, which both have Liberal Democrat Members of Parliament. The council has been governed by the Liberal Democrats since 1986. Currently the seat distribution is 31 Liberal Democrat, 21 Conservative and 2 Independents.
London Borough of Croydon
Croydon is covered by three parliamentary consituencies, Croydon South (Conservative held), Croydon Central (Conservative held) and Croydon North (Labour held). Since 2006 the council has had Conservative administration and the current makeup is 43 Conservatives, 26 Labour and 1 Independent.
Steve O'Connell was elected as GLA representative for Croydon & Sutton in 2008 with 76,477 votes giving him a Conservative majority of 42,655. This is an increase of 18,961 from Andrew Pelling's result in 2004.
